- Travel 1-6metres (each way) nightly to feed.
- Feed every 3 days if hosts available.
- Often void part of the previous meal while feeding creating “bloody” spotting.
- Suck blood for 3-10 minutes on average.
- Can consume up to 4 times their own body weight.
